The HM Foundation supports causes that reflect the values of the Moerel family, among others

• the importance of respect for all irrespective of race, religion or beliefs
• the belief in the power of music as a unifying language which transcends cultural and other borders
• the importance of understanding (diversity in) cultural and social history, as a means to broaden understanding of the future
• the importance of forgiving, and giving, together with the power of optimism, to create a better world

The Foundation provides grants and funding to organisations and individuals it believes could carry and promote these same values.
